This memorial was created to remember our dearest Cassie..

A mother, daughter, granddaughter, sister, and aunt.
A niece, cousin, and friend.

"When I pass, speak freely of my shortcomings and my flaws.
Learn from them, for I'll have no ego to injure."

Cassie was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 5th, 1986,

to her biological parents, Colleen and Troy.

Several months later she moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin with Troy, where she lived with and was raised by her mom and dad, Ann and Robert Lutz. She lived with her two sisters, Courtney and Nichole.

Her Grandma Pat and Grandpa Karl lived in the upstairs unit.

Sadly and unexpectedly Cassie passed away on March 7th, 2013, in West Allis, Wisconsin.

She left behind a beautiful daughter, Briseis, who loves and misses her greatly.

She's loved immensely and missed by her mom and dad, Ann and Bob.

Treasured, missed, and loved by her sisters Courtney (Katie) and Nichole.
She's loved dearly, and missed by her Auntie Kyle (Uncle Mark), and their 3 children Rocco, Dominic, and Gina.
She's loved and missed by her Auntie Kay (Uncle Kelly), and her 2 children, Eric and Kelly (Rob).

She's loved missed by her Auntie Mary (Uncle Jeff), and her 2 children Patrick and Dana (Tim).

She's loved and missed by her second cousin Robby, Kelly’s son.

She will be missed by Eloise, her niece, whom she never met.

Cassie was and will always, always, always, loved by so many people.

She had so much potential.
Had she not slipped away, she would have able to accomplish so much more.
With her brilliant red hair, beautiful green eyes, and freckles, she was quite the character while growing up.
You could always hear her singing or laughing. If you didn't, she would either be quietly sucking her thumb while watching Darkwing Duck or playing in her room with the kids.
While we writhe in pain from our loss of this beautiful young woman,
we must remember that we have many many memories of her.
Memories that we can never lose.
Memories that we will cherish.
Memories that will never fade.

In Cassie's death we must learn from our loss.
Foolish choices people make, or senseless decisions, can cause tremendous pain.
While we bear the heartache of this horrible tragedy, we have to come to the realization that the choices and decisions that we make for ourselves affect many more people than we may realize.

Even if that choice makes us happy.
Even if that choice is the same choice we've always made.

Or it's never hurt anyone before.

Cassie’s choices came with heavy, heavy, consequences.
We have lost Cassie.

We have physically lost Cassie.

The loss has created a burden of grief.

Despair, heartbreak, and a never ending sadness.
Sometimes it's easier to hide.
Some moments, whether they be minutes, hours, days, weeks, or months,
Can be easier than others.
Though when they are difficult, sad, maddening, or numbing, they are incredibly intense.

Some days we feel like we will never smile again.

That we won't laugh like we once did.

That the pain we feel will never dull and fade.

We all had something with Cassie.

Something that we loved.

No matter what it is, no one can take it from us.

With determination, love, and preservation, we need to remember Cassie.
Even when we’re angry at her, or as heavy hearted, as we can be,

We still love her.

Completely.

It's still difficult to say good bye when we you’re not ready.

We have to let time forgive the past.

As much as we love and miss Cassie..

We have to forgive the past.
We have to learn from it.
We have to grow from it.
We have to teach from it.
